- Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. A preoperative consultation and physical examination is mandatory for patients, especially those undergoing IV anesthesia for surgery.
- Please remember to discuss with our team if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medications (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc).
- If your dentist or physician has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office. If they have not already been sent to us at the time of your referral, we are happy to reach out to their office to request that information at the time of your consultation. If additional x-rays are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
- IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit.
I have been a patient of Dr. Susan Maring’s for more than 20 years. I have a rare condition that requires as much as monthly cleanings. She does the work herself, even when insurance doesn’t cover the cost of a periodontist doing the work of a hygienist. When I have needed the help of a dentist, she knew just the right people. She demonstrates tremendous commitment to her patients. I am lucky to have her in my life.
